The pitman arm connects the steering box to the centre link. If it's worn, what's either side of it probably is too:
- Centre Link — directly attached to the pitman arm. A worn centre link is often what makes the steering feel loose even after other parts are replaced.
- Idler Arm — the other end of the centre link. Same wear rate, same job.
- OBS-UAE Front End Steering Rebuild Kit — pitman arm, idler arm, bracket, centre link, and tie rod ends as a matched set. If you're replacing one, this is the smarter way to do it.
- OBS-UAE Steering Box Upgrade Kit — the pitman arm bolts directly onto the steering box. If the box is the original, it's wearing too. This is the upgrade that fixes the on-centre dead spot for good.
