1996 to 1998 Vortec only. Seals the plastic upper air plenum and fuel spider injector housing, a separate job from the lower intake gasket, which is listed separately.

Why it matters

Usually replaced alongside the lower intake gasket during the same job, since both live under the same plenum, but it's a distinct seal with its own failure point around the injector spider housing.
