Getting into the column or dash area means you're already past the hard part. These are the other bits that fail on the same trucks at the same age — worth confirming before you button everything back up:

• Power Window Switch, Pre-1995 Dash — same dash strip, same era. If one switch is tired, the others usually aren't far behind.
• Fog Light Switch & Harness Kit — if the fog lights stopped working and you blamed the bulbs, it's probably this.
• Ignition Lock Cylinder — if the key is getting stiff or intermittent, the lock cylinder goes at the same mileage as the dimmer. Do both now.
