Fits

Confirmed for 420SL, January 1986 to August 1989. Shared design with W124, R129 and W201 of the same era, so likely covers other late R107 variants (300SL, 500SL, 560SL) too, but only 420SL is independently confirmed. Early R107 (up to 1985) uses a different ball joint, not yet sourced. Send your VIN to confirm.

Why it matters

A worn ball joint causes clunking over bumps and uneven tyre wear, and left too long can affect steering control. Usually replaced as a pair even if only one side shows play.
