A full AC system refresh in one sourced order, with correctly matched components engineered to work together. This kit is built around the later-car V8 spec, confirmed fitment for the 560SL Convertible (1986–1989).
The compressor, receiver-drier, and TXV expansion valve must be replaced as a set. Fitting a new compressor alone after an internal failure — without replacing the drier and flushing the system — is close to a guaranteed repeat failure within weeks. This kit is structured to prevent that.

Fitment
Later-car V8 spec. Confirmed: 560SL Convertible (1986–1989). For earlier cars using a York or Tecumseh compressor, a different compressor conversion applies — contact us with your VIN before ordering.
Important Notes
- All R107s left the factory on R12. If the system has not already been converted to R134a, this kit includes the port adapters required for conversion.
- Flush the condenser and both AC lines with dedicated AC flush solvent before fitting the new compressor if the original unit failed internally.
- Replace every o-ring at every joint opened. The kit includes a full HNBR o-ring set rated for R134a.
- Confirm auxiliary fan operation after installation — the R107 relies on it at idle and in slow traffic.
