Filters moisture and debris from the refrigerant circuit, a saturated or contaminated accumulator is a common cause of poor cooling and premature compressor failure. IMPORTANT: Replace together with the compressor and orifice tube (OBSAE-GMT4-00112 and OBSAE-GMT4-00113) whenever the compressor has failed internally. Reusing an old accumulator after a compressor failure is close to guaranteed to fail again within weeks, it traps the metal debris and moisture that destroys the new compressor.
